Education and social support

Sierra Leona

This is our first and our main charity project. We have been involved in this programme since 2008, initially working with the Augustinian Recollects and currently with the Poor Clare Sisters.

This project directly benefits from the sale of each jar of Pedro Luis organic fried tomato.

ADANO (Association for helping children with cancer).

More than 2,000 people work in Navarra to improve the quality of life of children with cancer, as well as their families’.

They support the family during and after the diagnosis, with psychosocial, educational, informative, leisure and volunteer programmes.

This project directly benefits from the sale of each jar of Pedro Luis organic fried tomato and piquillo pepper sauce.

NGO LA ESPERANZA

Since 1994 they have been supporting the most disadvantaged in the countries of the South, by sending financial resources that they obtain through public and private financers, charity markets and private donations.

Their action extends to the Prelature of Labrea, Fortaleza and Guaraciaba do Norte (Brazil), Kamabai and Kamalo (Sierra Leone), Wote (Kenya), India and Georgia, Costa Rica and Mexico.  But they are not averse to responding to demands that involve improving the lives of those most in need, especially if they are children.

Erasmus +

We collaborate with the Pablo Sarasate Institute of Lodosa participating in the ERASMUS+ programme, an EU programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

The Erasmus+ programme aims to improve skills and employability, as well as to modernise education, training and work.

Teachers from IES Pablo Sarasate are taking part in the programme in Croatia, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Malta and the Czech Republic in what is “a step towards the internationalisation of the centre”.  In addition, this year 9 teachers will participate in European exchange programmes and 12 secondary school students, staying with host families, will do the same in the ‘Gastronomy and Sustainability’ project.
